eBay Coaching Instructions

Coaching sessions will be held on Thursday Afternoons between 6 and 7 PM Pacific time. There is a clock showing current pacific time on the welcome page of the conference software. Once you have installed the software, open it and check the time.

During the coaching sessions I will be answering questions about all facets of eBay. I'll also be doing eBay auction reviews. If you'd like me to look at one of your auctions, please make a note of the auction number in advance.

You can participate in the session by asking questions, sharing your experience, or just by watching and listening.

Installing the software.

This only works with Windows based computers. If you have a Mac, you should be able to use it if you run Windows on it.

Step One: Download the installer. It's packages in two different ways. The first is as an exe file. Most computers will download the exe file without problem. So try that first:

terrysconference.exe
Right click and select Save As

If your computer refuses to download the exe file, you'll need to download the Zipped version instead.

terrysconference.zip
Right click and select Save As

Step Two: If you've downloaded the exe file, double click on it, and then enter your name and other details. This will finish the installation, and allow you to log in to the conference. The first page of the conference has a clock on it showing Pacific Time so you can so you can figure out the time difference for your location. Skip to step four.

Step Three: If you have downloaded the zip folder you'll need to open the zip file. If you are running Windows XP you can just double click to open the zip file. If you are running an older version of Windows, your computer may or may not open the zip folder. Try it by double clicking. If the zip folder opens, follow instructions on step two above.

If the zip folder does not open when you double click on it, you'll need an extractor program. You can get an evaluation version of WinZip at: www.winzip.com. Once you've used WinZip to open the folder, follow instructions on step two above.

Step Four: Attending the eBay Coaching Sessions. While you are installing the software, make a note of the time and date of the session. This information is included in the welcome screen on the conference site along with a clock showing current Pacific Time so you can figure out the time difference.

Attending The Session: When it is time for the session, you'll need to open the conference software. The program launcher is in Start >> Programs >> Audio Conference >> Conference. If you have attended other web conferences on the system, there will be options for different rooms. We will be in Terry's eBay Conference Room.

NOTE: The conference system was upgraded on Dec. 10th 2008. If you have an earlier version and it fails to open, you'll need to uninstall the version you have and then install the version above. To do this go to your Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs > and remove Audio/Video Conference. Or, you may choose Start > All Programs > Audio Conference > Uninstall.

Then download the file above and install following the instructions provided.
