Buying Antiques and Collectibles In Stores And Malls
I interviewed Gary Hendrickson about buying antiques and collectibles in stores and malls to resell on eBay. Gary deals in old paper items like catalogs, advertising brochures, and in all types of oddities. He specializes in antiques and collectibles that are easy to find, have high demand, and for some odd reason, mostly ignored by dealers.
In this interview Gary and I talk about how we buy antiques and collectibles. I run lots of ads to get people to call me on the phone and offer me antiques and collectibles.
Gary does it differently. He just goes shopping in antique stores and antique malls. He buys things the dealers have priced too low.
You see, most antiques dealers specialize in one area like dishes or pottery or in my case toys. These dealers don't know what other things are worth, and in many cases are grateful to get rid of them.
This makes it easy to buy items from dealers.
Anyway, Gary and I talked for 90 minutes and covered these topics:
