Using eBay To Reach Your GoalsFrom the desk of Terry GibbsSeptember 15, 2005 It's hard to believe but the summer is almost over. Even more amazing, 3/4 of the year has come and gone. September is always a good month to check your progress towards your goals because if you've fallen behind, or gotten distracted, you still have enough time to catch up. Right now, take a moment and think about the goals you set for yourself back in January. Done? Ok, continue reading. Because you subscribed to this newsletter, there is no doubt some of your goals involve eBay. Perhaps your goal is to use eBay to raise some extra spending money in your spare time? Or your goal could be to harness the power of eBay to escape your nine-to-five job, and start a home based business. Or maybe you've already taken the step and are using eBay to generate a good living and your goal is to grow your income while reducing your workload? Whatever your goals are, and no matter how close you are to reaching your goals improving your skills is an absolute must. In fact, one of my goals is to constantly improve my skills by seeking out experts to learn from. The past few months have been a tremendous learning experience for me. For example, I just got off the phone with Janiece Smith. If you don't know who she is, she wrote an excellent book about sourcing new products for eBay called "How an Overworked, Traveling, Soggy Sandwich Eating Dental Hygienist Made up to $11,212.00 a Month--100% Online." Janiece and I talked for almost two hours about eBay. More specifically, we talked about tapping into the coming Christmas swell of eBay buyers. It's already September and Christmas will be here in the blink of an eye. It's not too soon to start thinking about how to capture my share of Christmas spending. But Janiece isn't the only eBay master I've talked to recently. I spent time on the phone with Jim Cockrum last month. Jim wrote the book "The Silent Sales Machine Hiding On eBay." We talked about ways to leverage eBay auctions and escape the all-to-common eBay volume trap. Over the last few months, I talked with other eBay masters like Tim Knox, Adam Ginsberg, and Elaine Smith, and I've learned from all of these conversations. Now, I am not telling you this in order to brag. Nor am I using these private conversations to make you feel left out. You see, I doubt you could call any of these people on the phone. Not that they aren't interested in helping you, but like me they just don't have the time to talk to everyone. While I am certain they would love to be able to talk one-on-one with everyone, it's just not possible. They are busy running their businesses and raising their families. But, there is another way you can get advanced instruction from these masterminds. You see, I recorded the calls so you could also learn from them. In fact, I bought a 400 dollar tape recorder to make sure you could hear every word. Then I hired a audio editor to master the tapes to the highest quality, and then duplicate a limited number of CDs of each mastermind session. But I didn't concentrate on the recording quality. I put my skills to work digging out the best eBay Masterminds, then got them to explain in simple terms the most import eBay lessons they learned while building their businesses. Now for the first time, you can bring eBay masterminds into your home and learn from them. In fact, you'll learn skills you didn't even know you needed, and you'll instantly get new information and new ideas! Every month, I will send you a hard hitting informative interview on CD with an eBay Mastermind. Each Mastermind session will have a specific topic like "Making The Most Of The Holiday Season" with Janeice Smith, with Jim Cockrum, and "Conquering the Chaos of Your eBay Business" with Tim Knox. Each mastermind is selected for his or her ability to teach YOU specific concepts to increase your skills and open your eyes to opportunities you may be missing. You'll discover things you'll never find in the pages of books or read about in business school. You will use this knowledge to make money... save money... and produce record profits in your eBay business. Even better, each month's interview will bring you new insights and continued motivation to keep you on track. Here's the deal. . . If you choose to increase your skills by subscribing to the eBay Mastermind Interview Series, you will receive a new interview on CD every month. As a bonus you'll also get a CD version of "The Power Of eBay," and a binder to hold the interviews. "The Power Of eBay" is an interview I did with Joe Polish and is included as a bonus because it serves to introduce you to me. You might already have this interview, but you'll want the CD so you have a complete collection of the Mastermind interviews. Now let me tell you about the first interview you will receive as part of your subscription. . . If I had to name the one person who has helped the most people maximize their eBay incomes, without any hesitation Jim Cockrum would be my answer. Because of this, the September issue is the Jim Cockrum interview on "Escaping the eBay Volume Trap". It will be mailed on September 20th along with the bonus binder (if they come in) and "Power of eBay" CD. You might not believe this, but sooner or later you will come to a fork in the road. Either you continue to list more and more in order to increase your profits, or you escape the volume trap and start leveraging your auctions. This session will help you choose the right fork. While listening to "Escaping the eBay Volume Trap" you'll learn:
Now I am sure just learning the seven things listed above is more than enough to whet your desire, but before you make a decision, here's two important facts to consider: First - You will not be able to buy single interviews. The only way to get the interviews is to subscribe to the series. If you join now, you'll get the Jim Cockrum interview and the bonus CD. If you join in October, you'll get the Janiece Smith Christmas session and the bonus. If you join in November you'll get the session with Tim Knox on organizing your eBay business and the bonus. Joining now means you will get all the interviews as they are released. Second - only 400 people can subscribe. I would let everyone subscribe, but the bank put a limit on the monthly charges I can do for the first six months. I expect all the subscriptions to be sold quickly, you need to join now if you want to get in on the ground floor, and not miss a single issue. If you wait to subscribe you risk getting shut out. You could miss six months worth of tips and techniques you will need to build your eBay business.
